Automating Workflows Across Apps

Zapier is a web-based tool that automates tasks between different apps and services. By setting up "Zaps," you can automate workflows without needing to code.

How Zapier Works:

  • Zap: An automated workflow that links apps together.
  • Trigger: The event that starts the Zap (e.g., a new lead in Facebook Lead Ads).
  • Action: The task that happens after the trigger (e.g., sending the lead data to Evergiving).

Why Use Zapier?

  • Automation: Streamline repetitive tasks like sending data from one app to another.
  • Efficiency: Reduce manual effort and eliminate data entry errors.

Examples:

  • When a pledge is approved, post to Teams, Slack or even Facebook pages “Woohoo! 🎉 Another $25 a month is going to support UNICEF. Well done Jo!”
  • At the end of the day, create the donor in your CRM, via their API. If it works with Zapier, it’ll now work with Evergiving.
  • The day after a donor signs up, call them from your external Call Center provider.
  • When a donor under 35 years old signs up, send the donor an invite to Instagram. or any other action like send them a survey, an email from mailchimp, or just create a row in a spreadsheet.

Supported Apps:

Zapier supports thousands of apps including Salesforce, Facebook Lead Ads, Google Sheets, Slack, and more. Sign up at zapier.com to create custom Zaps or use pre-built templates.
