Managing Pledge Edit Permissions for Converted Leads¶
By default, agents are restricted from editing pledge records after converting a lead to a pledge. This restriction helps maintain data integrity by preventing modifications that could interfere with information sent to payment gateways, automated communications (e.g., welcome emails or SMS), data exports, and other processes triggered upon conversion.
Administrators can manage this permission by configuring the Captured Pledge Edition setting, enabling or disabling post-conversion pledge editing for specific agents.
Settings Options
The Captured Pledge Edition setting includes two choices:
- Allow editing of pledges after lead conversion: Grants agents full permission to edit pledge records after a lead is converted.
- Disallow editing of pledges after lead conversion (default): Prevents agents from making changes to pledge records post-conversion.
How to Apply This Setting
- Navigate to the agent’s profile page under Call Center -> Agents
- Locate the Captured Pledge Edition dropdown.
- Select either:
- Allow editing of pledges after lead conversion
- Disallow editing of pledges after lead conversion
- Click Save Changes to apply the new setting.
Use Case
This feature is ideal for organizations that need strict control over post-conversion pledge data while allowing specific cases where agents may require editing access after conversion.
