Offices

What is an office?

An office is a way of segmenting your fundraisers results, also also restricting access to data, so users from a particular Office can only see data attributed to their Office. You will need at least one office in your campaign so we have created one Office for you, and allocated all your Campaign Manager and Fundraiser users that Office.

It is now mandatory that all Fundraisers and Campaign Managers are assigned to an office. If you aren't intending on using the Offices feature, you can just use the one Office we created for you, and nothing else needs to change.

In this overview, you can see how many fundraisers are assigned to a team with a Campaign Manager from this office, and the number of pledges they created. A pledge is attributed to the office of the campaign manager of the team, not to the office of the fundraiser. More on this below.

Click on Add Office (show me), enter the name of your office and select a default language. This is useful for countries with two or more languages. The default language for a campaign is the language set when the campaign was first built. If not all the offices use this language, you can set another default language. It will affect the fundraisers assigned to this office.

  • It is not possible to create a Campaign Manager without office in Evergiving or in Waysact.
  • It is not possible to create a Fundraiser without office in Evergiving or in Waysact.
  • When creating a Fundraiser, if you select the office first, only Campaign Manager from the selected office will be available.
  • When creating a fundraiser, if you select the Campaign Manager first, the office of this Campaign Manager will be automatically selected.
  • A Campaign Manager can see all the pledges attributed to her/his office (and only from her/his office)
  • A Campaign Manager can only see Fundraisers attributed to her/his office. She/he can only use Fundraiser from her/office when creating a new team.
  • If the option Restrict Campaign Manager: Force campaign managers to see only data attributed to them is enabled, the CM will see only the pledges in her/his office and attributed to her/him.
  • If you change the office of a Campaign Manager, the Fundraisers assigned to her/him will remain in their current office, and won't have any Campaign Manager any more.
  • If a pledge is attributed to a Campaign Manager, but the Campaign Manager is now in a different office than when the pledge was created, the Campaign Manager can not see the pledge any more, even if Restrict Campaign Manager: Force campaign managers to see only data attributed to them is enabled is disabled -> no access to historical data

  • The pledge is attributed to the office of the campaign manager of the team, not to the office of the fundraiser:

* Fundraiser "Uno" is assigned to office Sydney, and to Campaign Manager "Dos"

* Campaign Manager "Dos" is also assigned to office Sydney

* Campaign Manager "Tres" is assigned to office London

* Fundraiser "Uno" is assigned to a team with "Tres" as Campaign Manager (even if they are not from the same office). Fundraiser "Uno" submit a pledge.

Result: The pledge is visible for Campaign Manager "Tres", but not for Campaign Manager "Dos". The pledge is attributed to London. Fundraiser "Uno" can see the pledge in her/his dashboard.
