notificationTemplateEdit
Name:
Enter the name of your SMS template. This is a mandatory field.
Status:
The default status is Active. Select Inactive to deactivate a SMS template.
Campaign:
Select the campaign for the SMS template. This is a mandatory field.
SMS Timing:
Per default, a "Send SMS" button will shows up on the form, near the mobile phone field.
If the SMS Timing box is checked, the SMS will automatically be sent after the signup.
This means that it will now attempt to send an SMS to a mobile number on the pledge after sign up, regardless of whether they have opted into SMS or not. This should be ok as long as the SMS is purely transactional/administrative in terms of GDPR compliance. However, it is worth noting that no links should be added to the SMS in future to any pages that might have marketing content.
SMS Copy:
The SMS must be no longer than 140 characters including spaces. This is a mandatory field.
Placeholders:
What is a placeholder?
These fields are dynamically generated text that queries our database when generated to use the correct value instead of the placeholder.
List of placeholders:
- {FIRST_NAME}: Donor's first name. Example: Hello Robert, Thank you for supporting our work!
- {TITLE}: Donor's title or salutation - Example: Hello Mister, Thank you for supporting our cause!
- {PLEDGE_ID}: Evergiving Pledge ID - Only available on SMS sent after sign-up. Example: Your donation reference number is 5123456
- {FUNDRAISER_FIRST}: Fundraiser's first name Example: Nice talking with you today. Best Regards, John
- {AMOUNT}: Donation amount - Only available on SMS sent after the sign-up. Example: Thanks for your generous donation of $30
Sender ID:
It is possible to change the sender ID (the name appearing as the send of the SMS on the donor's mobile phone). Please contact our support to change it.
