Create Dashboard

This page allows you to create and customize a dashboard with various settings that determine its visibility, data scope, and user access. Below is an explanation of the different fields and options available:

Colour Palette

At the top of the page, you can choose a color for your dashboard by selecting from a range of colors. This color will be used as a theme or highlight for the dashboard, allowing you to personalize it according to your preference or for differentiation between dashboards.

Name

This field allows you to give your dashboard a unique name. The name should describe the dashboard's purpose and content so you and other users can easily identify it.

Privacy And Visibility Options

Private

When this option is checked, the dashboard will be kept private to you. No other users will be able to view or access the dashboard. This is ideal for personal tracking or monitoring.

Global

When selected, the data shown in the dashboard will be visible across all accounts. This is useful when you want to create a dashboard that applies to a broader audience, such as for company-wide metrics or global performance tracking.

Shared With Roles

Shared with Custom Roles

This option allows you to share the dashboard with users who have specific custom roles, defined by key-value pairs. For example, if a user is assigned the custom role team_leader, you can specify this role to allow them to view the dashboard. This is a powerful way to control access based on user roles and responsibilities.

Only custom roles in the format custom_roles: <role_name> are allowed. For example, you might enter custom_roles: team_leader to share the dashboard with team leaders.

Limit Data to Frontliner

Enabling this option limits the dashboard to only show data that was generated by the specific user (i.e., the frontliner). This is useful for tracking individual performance. If this box is unchecked, the data will not be restricted by user, making it suitable for leaderboards or performance competitions where collective data is displayed.

Logic/Condition Dropdown

These are settings for adding logic or conditions determining what data is filtered and what conditions need to be met for data to be displayed.

Condition Logic

The dropdown box allows you to choose the logic that will be applied to the conditions you set. You can choose between "All of these conditions must be satisfied" or Any of these conditions must be satisfied.

Add Logic/Condition Sources

This button lets you add specific conditions that will be applied to the data shown. These conditions can filter the data based on certain criteria, such as time periods, user roles, or data types. You can stack multiple conditions to refine the data display even further. View the List of Logic and Condition Sources.
