Send Messages Using WhatsApp

Evergiving now allows you to send transactional messages to your leads on WhatsApp, a popular messaging app. These messages can be customized for each campaign and are sent with the recipient's consent as part of the phone call by an agent.

To enable this feature for your charity, follow the steps below:

Step 1: Create a Facebook Business Manager Account

If your charity doesn’t already have a Facebook Business Manager account, here’s how to set one up:

  1. Visit business.facebook.com/create and select Create Account.
  2. Enter your name and confirm your identity using your Facebook login credentials.
  3. Follow the prompts to set up your charity's business account.
  4. When asked, enter your charity's name as the business name.
  5. Fill in your personal details (e.g., Jane Doe, jane@mycharity.org).
  6. Complete the form with your charity’s address.
  7. Submit the information to finish creating your account.

Step 2: Find Your Facebook Business Manager ID

Once your Facebook Business Manager account is set up, follow these steps to find your Business ID:

  1. Log in to Facebook with the same account you used to create your Business Manager account.
  2. Go to Business Settings by clicking here.
  3. In the left-hand menu, select Business Info.
  4. Under Business Manager Info, you'll find your Business Manager ID number.

Step 3: Contact Evergiving Support

Once you have your Facebook Business Manager ID, reach out to Evergiving by emailing support@evergiving.com. Our team will help you get the WhatsApp messaging service up and running for your charity.

By completing these steps, you’ll be able to start sending tailored transactional messages on WhatsApp, helping you enhance your donor engagement.
